Biography
I was born in South Sudan. At the age of 9, I was separated from my family by civil war. I went to a refugee camp in Ethiopia. In the early 1990s, I bounced around in refugee camps, searching for a safe place to call home. In 1992, I settled in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya. After a decade, I resettled into the United States in 2001.
